A toast to the safe arrival of the new Millennium Ball at New York's JFK airport. Waterford Crystal created the 500 pound "Stars of Hope" to replace the existing ball in Times Square. After it was made in Waterford, Ireland, it was flown to New York for final assembly. Pictured is Christopher J. McGillivary, President and CEO, Waterford Crystal (left), actor Ron Silver, Chairman of NYC 2000, Waterford City, Ireland Mayor Alderman Pat Hayes, and Aer Lingus Cargo Executive Pat Phelan (right).
