Bill and Nisha Rizzo let us know about their attempts at having a millennium baby from the very, very beginning. They have been updating us as to the progress of their pregnancy and now this. There little baby has the honor of being the First American born in the Year 2000. Little William A. Rizzo III was born at 8:25 a.m. on January 1, 2000 in Fiji. He is the first American and third baby born in Fiji as the New Year dawned. His parents are thrilled and happy to have their little boy! Of all of our millenni-moms, they came the closest to have the first "millennium baby" in the entire world... Of course, look were they live.. right next to the International Dateline!

We often come across coincidences but miracles seldom happens. Such miracle happened at the advent of the 21st Century in India. She is just 2 months and 18 days old only today, she is the "First Millennium Baby Nancy" It had been the wish and desire of billions the world over, with couples putting in all they have to plan was blessed to have been born in India showing the world that this millennium belongs to the girl child.

After the enthusiasm and the end of the millennium euphoria now two months down the line the millennium baby Nancy cuddles in the lap of her proud parents and has just begun to see the world.

Nancy the millennium baby was born at the advent of 2000 at 00 hrs. 00 min. 00 sec. to the proud couple of Mr. K.K. Patel and Mrs. Ayesha Patel in the Aman hospital at the Lakecity of Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh India.

Nancy's father Mr. K.K. Patel is a simple farmer by proffession. Nancy is the third daughter of Patel family. It is almost impossible for the parents of Nancy to get her internationally recognised. It becomes our mundane duty to give to the world this charisma and share this heavenly wealth with one and all and give her the future that make us proud.

You may have heard about these two babies, but we have the pictures! Little Jacob and Jordan were born in different centuries on different days but are twins! That's right Jacob was born at 11;59 on December 31 and his twin sister arrived at 12:01 am on January 1, 2000! The twins will join a two year old brother at home. Tyler is anxiously awaiting their arrival. Jacob weighed in at 5 lbs 6 oz, Jordan at 5lbs even. Tim says he took Julie to the mall on New Year's Eve and made her walk alot! It paid off, she went into labor and ended up making history with the birth of her adorable twins! Congratulations!

This little baby is the first U.S. citizen born in the year 2000! Lauren Elizabeth Matthews was born at Kadena Air Force Base in Okinawa Japan. Lauren was born at 12:14 am. Her grandmother wrote to tell us the great news..after all it's not every day you have a grand-daughter who is the first U-S citizen born in the world! Grandma Jane Matthews is thrilled with her new grand baby and was surpised the hospital didn't make any sort of fuss over the the first U-S infant birth. Guess mom and dad will have to do that for them. Grandma too.

Brittney's little boy Hayden McGwire Holcomb was born right on January 1, 2000. He came into the world at 5:47 am and was the first baby of the Year 2000 born at the hospital in Bentonville!

Jaye's due date wasn't planned..but it was 01/01/00. However, she never expected her baby to actually arrive right on that due date- think again. Jaye's baby boy was the first one born at her hospital on New Year's Day arriving into the world at 9:10 am.

Elizabeth is thrilled to have a new baby girl born right on New Year's Day! Little Natalie Margaret Constance was born at 2:33 am on January 1st. I guess we shouldn't say little, Natalie weighed in at 10 pounds 7 oz! Wow. Elizabeth says she had her naturally and without an epidural! UGH! Natalie's big sister is Ilse-Marie. Natalie was actually a big surprise. This couple had been trying to get pregnant for two years, and her due date was the 6th of January, but Natalie didn't want to wait!

A very proud step-dad wrote to tell us about his son and daughter-in-law's new baby. Their little girl was born just 10 seconds after midnight on January 1, 2000. The little girl weighed an even 5 pounds 5 ounces. Thanks for the great news Harold Thomas! (proud grandpa!)

I guess you can say this little boy was born at midnight on January 1, 2000! Jake Walker came into the world at 33 seconds past midnight!! Jake is the first baby born in the New Year in all of South Florida! He was born at Memorial Hospital West. Not only does Jake have that honor, he has a personal honor as well. Jake was born on the father Gary Walker's grandfather's 87 birthday!

Margo's little girl was determined to be born on January 1, 2000! She wasn't due until January 18th, but decided to make an early appearance! Margo says she told all her friends the last place she wanted to end up on New Year's Eve was the hospital, but guess where she spent the night..in the hospital. Little Emily Marie Cook was born at 1:20 am on January 1, 2000.

Isabel Ivonnette Portela was born at 10:26 am Janurary First 2000! She is the first baby born in the Health Central Hospital in the Year 200. The beautiful baby girl was honored with many goodies and prizes for being the first at that hospital, for teh parents..the reward a baby girl and some sleep. The parents say it was a very long New Year's Eve and New Year's morning...they spent many hours at the hospital before their little daughter was born!

Little Myla Alexis Jones was born on New Year's day at 4:18 p.m. She weighed in at 1 oz shy of 7 pounds. The littel girl is named after a country singer and is one of the first born in their city.

This is quite a story Kendra tells about her son's birth. Kendra's contractions started on New Year's Eve at about 5:30, by 9:30 they were ten minutes apart and when she got to the hospital she was getting really close to delivering her baby. But the baby had other ideas. Instead of being born on New year's Eve her little son came into the world at 5:04 a.m. on New Year's day. This is a significant time for Kendra- it is exactly the same time she was born. On top of that, Kendra's Great-Grandfather was born on January 1st many years ago. Kendra says it was the best experience of her life. She delivered her son Dylan Spencer with her mother and sister at her side. Her little son is named after her Great-Grandfather.

Jennifer's little son Matthew Craig was born on January 1, 200 at 1:32p.m.. Matthew weighed 7lbs 6 oz and was 20 inches long! Another New Year baby!

Moneva and her husband Ronald say they are very happy and every surpised their baby came on such an historic day. �Ronnie� as he will be called is the parents third child. They have two daughters- Shelby and Alisha.

Julie says she did better than a Millennium baby. She had one baby Jacob on 12/31/99 @ 11:59pm and his sister Jordan on 1/1/00 @ 12:01am. Julie and her husband decided it would be neat to give the twins different birthdates, they did that and more, they gave them different dates, year, century, and even millennium!!! Great Job!

The first baby born in Ripley County, Indiana was little Olivia tierney Conway. She was born at Margaret Mary Hospital in Batesville, Indiana. This was a stubborn little girl. Her due date was actually 12/21/99. She held off wanting to be born in the year 2000! Doctors at the hospital tried to talk the little girl's mom into calling her �Millie� for Millennium, but the parents felt Olivia was a better name. Olivia was born at 3:03 AM on New Year's Day! She is the third child and will join two brothers at home!

Shane says Dawn was determined to have a millennium baby and did just that! Her contractions started around 7pm and were only 4 minutes apart so they headed to the hospital. Because the hospital planned on being busy that night the Choate's had extra help in their room 8 nurses were watching over them and when the doctor arrived at 1 am he was wearing a tux! The doctor changed into his scrubs and delivered a baby boy at 1:35 am. Rhys Owen Choate weighed in at 7 pounds 14 oz. After the delivery the doctor changed back into his tux and had a picture taken with the baby!!!! What a great story to be able to tell the little boy as he grows up!

Little Madison Sidmore was born right on New Year's Day shortly after the dawn of the new century at 1:55 am. Madison weighed 6lbs 7oz. She was the first baby born at Metrowest Hospital. She is the first child for Elke and her husband and the little girl arrived early. She wasn't due until the end of January!

Michelle's due date was actually January 3. But babies have their own timing and Michelle's son wanted to be born with an historic date. Little Matthew Alan Johnson was born on January 1,2000 at 12:06 am!! This is Michelle's second child, second boy. Her first, Myles wasn't thrilled to share the spotlight with his new baby brother, but he's getting used to it! Mom michelle says she wasn't expecting a Millennium baby, and it sure is a blessing!

Little Leah Ashley Moran was born on January 1, 2000 at 7:46 pm. She decided to be born on New Year's day- which is actually 9 days early! Leah weighed in at 6 lbs. 9 oz and is 20 inches long. The twist to this story is that her father Michael was also born on January 1st! Of course he was born a few years ago on New Year's day 1967!

Little Isabel Claire was born right on New Year's Day in Huntington Hospital on Long Island. This couple is new to the states and have been through quite a bit. They moved to America from Switzerland in the middle of the pregnancy, last Septemeber. It's taking a while to adjust to the new surroundings and if anyone else in New York just had a baby they would love to get together with you! Congratulations on your new daughter.

Kelly's baby wasn't due until February 26th, but this little one wanted to be born on New Year's Day and sure enough he was. A baby boy for Kelly who was delivered at 10:44 pm on January 1, 2000. He weighed in at 3 pounds 12 oz and was 17 inches long. Kelly says this little boy sure made a grand entrance into the world and he has made them very proud parents!

Little Anthony James Lewis was born at 1:27 am at Bethesda North Hospital. Brian Lewis says the staff was great and one nurse made a hat that says First Baby 2000. He also got a shirt and a paper saying the same. Anthony James Lewis 7lbs 9.8oz. 20".

Julie was due on Jan 6, 2000 but says she amazingly gave birth on January 1, 2000 at 8:12pm. Julie says she was so excited and had thought it would be really great to have it on that day, but thought the odds were against them. Not so. Little Harrison Robert was born right on New Year's Day and weighed in at 8 pounds 4oz. He is healthy and mom reports that everyone is doing great.

Lucia's little baby was born 9 days early so he could arrive right on New Year's Day! Ryan John Conley was born at 12:52am weight was 7 pounds 7 Oz. and 20 3/4 inches long . He was the first baby born in Delaware County Pennsylvania at Crozier-Chester Medical Center in Upland, Pa. Lucia went into labor on New Years Eve while my Husband Walter was at work, my 5 year old son Brian was keeping trace of my contraction with his new Pokemon watch. Good job, big brother!

A proud grandma wrote to tell us about her brand new grandson. Gabriel Taylor Checksfield was born at 12:07 am on Janaury 1, 2000. He was the first baby of the millennium at Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth. Little Gabriel weighed in at 7lbs 1.2 oz. Grandma Pam helped deliver the little boy and he's happy and healthy. This little guy really wanted to be born on January 1. He was due on December 19th and waited more than two-weeks just to born at 7 minutes after the stroke of 12 on New Year's Day!

This is a touching story sent to us by a friend of the new parents. Tracy and Tom's baby was really expected around Christmastime. Looks like the baby had other ideas, and was born at 12:01 am on January 1, 2000! The first baby of Washington State! Little Melissa Michelle Harris came into the world healthy and happy, which was just what her parents were hoping for. What makes this story so special is that it is the Harris' second chance at having a family. When the couple was in High School they had a child together and for the benefit of the baby, put it up for adoption. The woman writing the story to us adopted that baby boy eight years ago! Wow! We wish both families the very best, thanks for sharing such a personal story with us.
